Apple tv photo albums not updating
The more images you add to i Cloud, the more memories the app can generate.
Here, you'll find any and all Albums you've created, along with Apple's "smart" albums for video, panoramas, and more.
Using Mac Book Air with OS X Yosemite version 10.10.5 & i Phone 6s.
Have several shared photo albums on i Cloud, created using Photos on the laptop. I tried creating a new shared album on the laptop, & it is appearing as an empty album on the phone, not appearing at all on the laptop.
When you turn on i Cloud Photo Library, every image and video you've stored will be available on your TV.
This is great if you don't mind people going through your image collection (or you live alone), but keep in mind that if you have guests, you may not want to keep this setting enabled.
Want to show off video from that Yosemite trip last month, or look at some family photos?
The Photos app on the Apple TV can do all that and more. Before we get started, you'll first need to make sure you've activated i Cloud's photo services (either i Cloud Photo Library, i Cloud Photo Sharing, or My Photo Stream) on your i Phone, i Pad, Mac, or PC — otherwise, you won't see much.
The Memories feature automatically and algorithmically collects photos and video into albums based on time, location, or faces in the images.
Follow these steps to delete older photos from My Photo Stream and put your most current photos on all of your devices: If you turned on i Cloud Photos, you can find your My Photo Stream photos from your other devices in the All Photos album.
If you didn't turn on i Cloud Photos and you don't see photos in the My Photo Stream album, follow these steps: Information about products not manufactured by Apple, or independent websites not controlled or tested by Apple, is provided without recommendation or endorsement.
If you've chosen not to use i Cloud Photo Library on your Apple TV, you can still access i Cloud's My Photo Stream feature, which lets you view the last 1000 images you took on (or uploaded to) your i Phone, i Pad, or Mac.
This feature can be used in tandem with i Cloud Photo Sharing, or by itself; it disappears if you enable i Cloud Photo Library. Updated May 2018: Added more information about the different sharing options for Apple TV.
